New Years Eve!

Well it is here, the end of 2007! Good riddens! I don't mean to sound bitter, but there were just some things I won't miss about the year. But we have been blessed in many ways. The year started with a bang with Erick and I working out and eating right and both of us losing a lot of weight. We had happy visits from family and friends and marked our 7th anniversary with lots of love for each other and some cute photos! I have enjoyed developing my scrap hobby and have enjoyed the successes I have had. I am glad to have this blog to look back on most of the year as well! It has been a sad year for some and many of our friends and family are still struggling, and we wish them some peace and comfort in the new year.

Out with the old and in with the new! I am ready for 2008. I am ready to be nearly thirty, celebrate more birthdays and anniversaries with my family, even have a 10 yr high school reunion. I will put my first born into "real" school. Lots to be excited about, and to look forward to. For me, the biggest thing is to change my perspective, just a little. With each challenge that is guaranteed to come my way, I hope to somehow see the eternal perspective in it all. I am thankful for the experiences I had this year, good and bad, as they have made me a little tougher. I wish you all a blessed and happy new year!

****8 years ago tonight I was on a plane with Erick to Utah! I will never forget driving through Utah that night for the first time, seeing how amazing it was with the lights and magic of the mountains. Erick's mom busted out some cassette tapes in her car so I could here Erick talking as a child! So funny! We laughed so much and it was exciting to meet her for the first time! Stay tuned for what happened next!

Be safe as you celebrate!

I am so ready for 2008 too. I always love a nice beginning. 2007 wasn't too bad, but I, too, am ready for a new year.
