Happy New Year!

Well 2008 has arrived and came blowing in with a giant snow storm in our neck of the woods. It made for a fun New Year's Day. After snow blowing a good 10 inches or so, more came down, and more is on the way! what fun! The kids got to play in it and it looks so cool!

Yesterday was also a fun day for Erick and I. It was the 8yr anniversary of our engagement! We love to talk about that day because it was great and still a bit quirky for us. When we went to Utah I had lost my voice. I sounded something like a toad. I could barely talk and was sort of tired. Erick had planned New Years Day downtown Salt Lake. We got to tour the Temple grounds and walk the mall. We went to a movie; Galaxy Quest!! Ha ha! I fell asleep during the movie! It was the beginning of my habit for years to come of not always staying awake for movies! I can't help it. Not usually at the theater though. Anyway, lots of sight seeing, and then an awesome dinner at the Carriage Court restaurant followed by a carriage ride through Memory Grove. I will save my details but Erick proposed on a footbridge and I of course said yes!! It was kinda cold, but it was very sweet and romantic and fun!! What a day! Here we are 8 years later, an old married couple! :) Life is good.

Happy New Year!
