Half Way Done

Well I am 4 weeks into school, and only 4 weeks left! Whew! I have hit something of a wall. My brain feels sort of fried. Not sure why. I think the last couple assignments were too challenging for my mom brain. Plus I am impatiently waiting for grades on two weeks worth of photo assignments. Sigh... So tonight I am supposed to be learning advanced layers in photoshop but opted for a communications quiz instead. Any tips on what to do about school burnout? I have much to do this week as always, but I can feel the procrastinating urges coming on. I do tend to work better this way. So are you wondering what I am learning in my photography class? Why don't I show you. 

This photo was for my first week's assignment, all about composition. I edited this shot in photoshop and I really like it. I tried to capture a more eery quiet image of a park.


In this one, I had to do a studio shot. I made a light box. Did I mention that? The kids have since broke it - not beyond repair- but it's cool and will work for small scrap projects as well. So I came up with this little grouping. I had to snap different shots of different things. Does this one make you want to go to the spa?
This was another shot from my first week. I used the composition technique-repetition for this shot of the light bulbs. Kinda cool eh? 

I have also done a texture assignment, I had to take close up shots of different textures and then covert them into words. It was interesting. I also just completed a documentary assignment. I photographed the meals on wheels program to tell a story. That was a lot of fun. Shout out to Tricia for the hook ups there! So that is school. I know you want to know more about my cute kids, but since this is "school time" I will have to blog about them another day!
