Dinner.

I recently took a survey on facebook from my friends if anyone had ever ordered from the Schwan people. I got a lot of good feedback. So when the nice delivery man came by, I had a nice little order for him. I got:

Chicken Cordon Bleu
Roasted Baby Bakers (I think, tiny baked potatoes)
Meatballs
California Blend veggies
Cheese and Herb Biscuits
Chocolate Chip cookie dough
Apple Bites

all for $52... or wait, and I had $11 worth of coupons! yay! With the right planning I think they have some good things to round out our meals. My thinking was that this would be a good way to have easy to cook stuff on hand for those nights when I don't want to think too hard. It worked out for the kids, Ella actually liked the potatoes and veggies. (She is my salad eater) Luke loved the meatballs. He had them with Ketchup, but I made a sweet and sour sauce... YUM. Jed loved the biscuits and potatoes. Sadly, Erick is working late, so his food is hanging out in a warm oven. He will like his apple bites cold, so I will bake them now, then chill them in the fridge for him.

I love this idea of a truck full of groceries driving to my house to bring me stuff. Why did this not occur to me sooner? If money were no object, I tell you what. Every night would be Schwan night.

PS. Should I have tipped the guy? I think I should have. I feel bad. oopsie.

Good question. I'm not sure if my family tips the guy or not. They really do have good food. I have some of their pancakes in my freezer now. The buffalo chicken dip and spinach dip. My sister gets all kinds of chicken for the kids. My mom and sister like a lot of the ice cream too. I think you just gotta try whatever looks good. I can't think of anything we've tried that was real horrible.

I have been cracking up....In high school I remember a group of kids joking about the "service" the Schwan man actually gives. Think dirty. But seriously great food! You had coupons for the Schwan man?? Your good.
