I went back to the laundry mat today. Alone this time. Its not so bad. I studied for an exam while I waited, it was quiet. And when I got home, the laundry was done! Folded and just ready to be put away. I guess doing just the one task (and multiple loads at a time) really has its benefits. Plus I solved the mystery of the missing socks...Last week I came home with 3 extra individual socks, that did not belong to anyone in my family! The socks travel to the laundry mats, then get redistributed to new families. The weird thing is that all the time I was doing the loads, I NEVER saw these socks, until I tried to match them up. Huh.
So, if you can get past the woman with Tourett's, the fat man with the large belly hanging out (both men, actually) and the woman who kept talking about her washer at home (why was she there?) its really not so bad.
