Life is feeling really dang good these days, so last Sunday I found my crafty groove and dug around my dusty pile of scrap supplies and made a couple things. I was feeling rusty in my skills, so I went to some of my favorite inspirational places on the Internet and participated in a couple of challenges to get me motivated.
For this card, I used The
August Week 2 Sketch over at Sassy Lil Sketches.
For this layout I did have two different challenges in mind for it, I used the
August Week 2 Layout Sketch for Sassy Lil Sketches, and
Workout #49 at ScrapFIT had the challenge, put a banner on it. So it worked out well for both.
For my banner, I used a banner set of shapes from the Silhouette Studio store and cut them out on my cutter. I haven't used the thing in a while, and I really had fun getting back to my favorite crafty hobby.
The trouble with not having scrapped in a while is that these pictures are of Luke's first day of preschool last year, and he just started kindergarten! Oops. Time sure flies!
