Snowflakes and Prayer

Well, today we had a sweet learning experience with the kids. Ella has been hysterically upset about a certain stuffed cat named Snowflake. It has been missing. This morning we are approaching nap time and I'm getting anxious about dealing with the missing cat. I decide that I can indeed do some clean up and chances are the cat will appear. I decide to teach Ella that profround principle of prayer. Say a prayer and you will find what you are looking for. I did this several times in the last month with Luke's binkie. I am always amazed that it does indeed work. So I pull Ella into my lap, and tell her when I can't find something I really need or want, I stop and say a prayer and ask Heavenly Father to help me find what Im looking for. She folded her arms and said with my help, "thank you for snowflake, please help me find her." It was so cute. So I suggest we look in the giant, never ending disaster of a toy closet. Jed runs ahead and before Ella and I get there, Jed exclaims, "Hey, here it is, I found it!!!" Ella is giggling like a maniac!! Go figure. So I made sure to have Ella say yet another prayer of grattitude, to our Father in Heaven for His help, and for Jed, who truly is a master of all things lost. So joyful moment of the day!
