So many people have asked how Erick's birthday weekend went. I can't believe the old man is 30! That is soooooo old. (snicker snicker) We surprised him Friday morning. He slept in, we had a yummy breakfast, and we gave him his presents. Which included a bundle of beach towels. He looked at me quizzically. So the kids helped me explain we were heading out to the Shipshewana waterpark for 24 hours of fun and time away. He was way excited. So we went. His dad and step mom stopped by the hotel to wish him a happy birthday and treated us all to some yummy ice cream. The next day we were heading home and I told him I had one more surprise. When he stated that he didn't want the weekend to end I informed him that he didn't have to go to work on Monday. He was shocked and thought that was the coolest. We had appointments and errands that Monday, but it all worked out to be quite a nice day. So overall, a great weekend had by all.
