Guest Designer Calls

Here is some great information for a few guest design calls that are out there. These are great opportunities to work with some great products and enjoy the online scrap community.

Paper Popsicles has a call out. This is for the June designer. You submit an application this month, then in May you work with your supplies, and your work shows up in the June publications for Paper Popsicles. Melissa is always VERY generous with her goodies and supplies. This is an easy fun call so go for it!

For the Guest Design Spot in June we want to see your card making creativity. For this call, you must create a set of 4(minimum) cards. Get creative, perhaps a set of thank you notes for a school teacher or new bride. Perhaps a set of baby shower invitations for a new mom in your life.

Spring is here, Summer is approaching! Lets see what wonderful cards you can make! This is a simple challenge during this busy time of year; but remember, cards will be judged on overall creativity and coordination - think 'gift set' not 4 unrelated cards. They should coordinate, but do not have to be identical.

Please include all cards in one photo, and additional closeup photos are fine. Also, please join our message board and be involved! You need to submit your entry by email to: 8ers@mchsi.com by midnight on April 27th. Please do not submit files larger than 600 pixels. Sorry, digital entries are not eligible at this time.

The Winner will receive a package of goodies and her assignment in early May. Winner will have until May 25th to submit her assignment and a short bio, all of which will be in our June newsletter, added to our gallery, and added on our Design Team Page.

And also, there are some great contests and a GDT call going on over at Scrapwords. This is a great community. They have fun little blogs where you can write and post work. It's a great way to focus on the writing side of scrapping.

Layouts must be submitted by Midnight April 27th
To enter the contest you must have at least 25 posts on the Scrapwords forum.
You must submit a layout about a Mother. It can be you, your Mother, anyone you like! Along with your layout submission, tell us why you want to be Scrapwords' May Guest Designer.

The winner will receive a kit from Scrapwords and 15% off your order!!You will need to submit one 8x8 or larger layout to scrapwordsdtq@yahoo.com by midnight April 27th to be considered for this contest.
