Being A Mom...

Scrap It Forward is a cool new-er blog that has challenges and focuses on charity, doing good for others and overall, feeling good and helping others feel good too. I think this is a great idea! This month they issued a simple challenge focusing on mothers and all that mothers do for their families. I had lots of ideas of things I might want to scrap about, but I also had specific photos I wanted to work with. So I opted to do a page about Ella and I. Having a girl requires me to test my mothering skills far more than I thought it would. The boys seem so easy. They wear their emotions on their sleeves, they say what they mean, and they generally don't have outbursts and meltdowns that don't have a specific cause. So she's my special girl and I love her so.

Being a mom means multitasking, so of course I had to combine two challenges with this page. Scrapbook Challenges had a challenge to do some stitching on a page. I used some embroidery floss for the kite... oh and I actually did 3 challenges, the 3rd being scrapbook challenges sketch #202. Didn't even mean to do that. Go me. See, moms are awesome.

Love this layout. I am a big fan of pink too and this just seems to fit in so well with your subjects.
