We've been busy! Kids are off track, out of school, until tomorrow, when they go back for the next 3.5 weeks before they are actually done with their current school year. Then they get 4 weeks off, before starting the new school year. Our summer is going to be very choppy. Im ok with it this year. We are excited about starting a new school here soon. Luke gets to take a Dual Language program, Spanish, at the new school. He will learn in English half the day, and the other half will be in Spanish! He gets to continue this program throughout his education. Should be a lot of fun!
Yesterday I needed a dessert for a church get together, and wanted something simple that I could easily have Erick pick up the ingredients for. So I turned to the ever helpful Pinterest.
I made these lemon bars. They turned out really good! You can get the recipe here. But its VERY simple.
1 box of angel food cake mix
1 15oz can of lemon pie filling (Erick brought home Lemon Creme' and I feel like it gave a super yummy lemon flavor to the bars)
Powdered sugar for sprinkling
Mix the cake mix and filling together. Only just until dry mix is moist. Do not add water or anything else. Bake in a 9x13 pan for 20 - 22 min at 350 degrees.
YUM! The kids really like them and they were so easy (and super easy for the hubs to find the ingredients at the store too!! ;)
